Dash Snow

I had never heard of Dash Snow until I was randomly 'art surfing' the other day. Dash Snow was a New York artist known for his confrontational and startlingly beautiful Polaroids of underbellies and oddities, an imaginary freak combination of Martin Parr and Nan Goldin.
His images retain a certain rawness in their act of documentation as much as they reflect an eye for the theatrical and shocking.

Tape Projects

"Tape Projects is a collective of young and emerging artists who champion provocative, temporal, audio-visual works and site-specific performances by our peers in and around Melbourne.

Tape Projects seeks to promote the wealth of talented and underrepresented young and emerging artists in Melbourne and throughout Australia, who practice media art and hybrid forms not necessarily suited to the traditional gallery format. As young and emerging artists ourselves, we believe in supporting our highly skilled community by creating new opportunities for the screening and showcasing of accomplished experimental art.

Through a programme of performances, artist talks, site-specific events, screenings and publications, Tape Projects showcases diverse temporal and cross-media works by Australian and international artists.[...]"

A friend told me about this the other day. Seems like a thing worth checking out.

The Others... (working title) is a continuation of my previous body of work, Down a Rabbit Hole (2008). This series is concerned with exploring fears of the unknown in tensions created between the natural and the fabricated. These photographs are dreamscapes; they reflect on the ‘theatre of the mind’, a balance between memory and fantasy, fear and desire, the light-hearted and the grotesque.

Dawn of a New Day

Time to change it up a bit, and even more importantly, update.
Stay tuned for more creative rambling.
